A Midsummer Night’s Dream

by William Shakespeare

Direction - Kip Williams
Assistant Director - Alastair Clark

Hermia and Lysander are in love. But in Athens, that love is forbidden. Their romantic dreams are quickly becoming a nightmare. With the threat of exile or execution hanging over their heads, they escape to the one place that might be safe – the forest.

A Midsummer Night's Dream was performed September and October 2016 at the Sydney Opera House. Presented by Sydney Theatre Company.

"Wondrous, but terrifying." - Daily Review Australia

"At once anarchic and tightly controlled: mesmerising, funny, gory, sexy, confronting... The result is a brooding and pungent Midsummer Night, more nightmare than dream." - Time Out Sydney
